4 Steps to Become an Athlete
Check Eligibility
Special Olympics Alaska welcomes individuals 8 years and older with an intellectual disability, cognitive delay, or significant learning or vocational problems due to cognitive delay.
Complete Registration
Download and complete the Athlete Registration Form and Medical Form. Have a physician sign the medical form to confirm the athlete is fit to participate.
Connect with a Program
Find a local Special Olympics Alaska program near you. Programs are active in Anchorage, Mat-Su, Fairbanks, Juneau, Kodiak, Ketchikan, and more communities.
Start Training!
Join practice, meet coaches and teammates, and begin your journey as a Special Olympics Alaska athlete. Year-round sports, events, and friendships await.
